![]() ![]() A couple reasons (for me): - I am lazy - I really like fzf - I sometimes use Vim, and fzf. iTerm2 has better color fidelity than the built in Terminal, so your themes will look better. Some of you may be wondering, why not just use telescope which will actually use Neovim itself for previewing. Dont forget they have also added their python API for scripting and automation, plus widgets that can display system status such as ram usage, git info etc. However, I have done tweaks here and there that narrow the difference to within an acceptable range. Here an image of the different theme styles you can configure with it. Note, bat fundamentally uses a Rust'ized version of Sublime's syntax highlighting engine with TextMate grammar, hence, there will not be a perfect match between bat highlighting and Vim/Neovim highlighting. Installation instructions are at the repo link above. ![]() Basically it is a derivation of bat's base16 but with colors shifted around to better integrate with moonfly & nightfly, especially when using fzf.vim with previewing enabled (which will use bat if it is installed). Created with handpicked and vivid colors, appropriate contrast and a lot of love to help you focus on your terminal. I prefer it to be at the terminal bottom. This is one of the best zsh themes Ive used, and I highly recommend it. If you looked closely, you probably noticed that you can also configure the position of the status bar, which comes next, in this dialog. Personally, I use iTerm2 with zsh as my terminal, but a lot of the tools below. The themes differ in the top and bottom bar. I decided to go down the rabbit hole and do something to somewhat remedy the situation. Valley Theme for iTerm2 based on my Valley Theme for Visual Studio Code. You can find the new theme selection under Settings > Appearance. I have used bat's base16 theme which kind-of works ok, but it was still not great when I use my moonfly and nightfly colorschemes.
